Sydney Airport (SYD)
Car Parking
(Sydney, NSW, Australia)
The parking facilities at Sydney Airport (SYD) have recently been substantially upgraded, with the opening of a gleaming new undercover multi-storey garage, built at the cost of some AU$65 million. This huge car park is capable of accommodating almost 4,500 vehicles and is located alongside the International Terminal, being linked to departures by a bridge and boasting a series of constantly updated flight information display screens.
Further options at Sydney Airport include domestic terminal parking, near to both the T2 and T3 terminal buildings. It is also possible to pre-book your parking on the official airport website, using the E-Park facility. A Frequent Business Traveller Parking is offered for regular visitors, as well as a valet service and a 'Park, Bark and Purr' services for those dropping off pets.
International Terminal Short-Term
Short-term car parking is always popular at Sydney Airport (SYD) and is to be found just a short distance away from the terminal buildings. Charges for these spaces (30 minutes intervals up to one hour, hourly up to three hours, and then daily) can be paid by using either cash or credit card at the automatic payment machines, when leaving the car park.
Domestic Multi-Storey Short-Term
The multi-storey car park serving domestic terminals T2 and T3 is located off both the Keith Smith Avenue and Shiers Avenue, near to 9th Street and the Sir Reginald Ansett Street. Some of the most well-placed spaces are allocated for short-stay 'Quickpark' car parking.
Long-Term
Long-term car parking at SYD offers cheaper tariffs than the short-stay areas. The long-stay domestic car park is situated on the Ross Smith Avenue (next to the East West Runway) and is easily reached by the regular air-conditioned buses. The new garage is the best place for accessing to the International Terminal and features plenty of long-term spaces, with weekly seven-day packages providing the best value.
